SunEdison To Develop 55 MW of Solar in New Mexico

SunEdison has signed a deal to develop five photovoltaic solar installations in New Mexico for Xcel Energy that will have a total installed capacity of 50 megawatts (MW). The five 10-MW sites will be utility-scale, ground-mount systems and are expected to be be fully operational by the end of 2011.

Sanyo Canada Inc. and Avacos solar Energy, a Canadian solar photovoltaic installation and project integration company, have unveiled the first Canadian photovoltaic system combining Sanyo’s HIT (Heterojunction with Intrinsic Thin-layer) Double bifacial solar PV modules and DuROCK Tio-Coat reflective roof membrane at DuROCK Alfacing International Ltd.’s headquarters.
